Meet our team
Bassem K. El Jisr
General Manager
As General Manager of Bridge Capital Holding, Bassem leads the company’s investing activity, deployment, and diversification strategies with a focus on growth and development. He is responsible for identifying investment opportunities across multiple asset classes. Bassem sits on the Investment Committee of BY Venture Partners, a $50 million MENA based VC firm that invests globally at both seed and growth stages. He also serves on several boards including Pearl Brands, a major retail player in the Lebanese market, and GMRL (Gray Mackenzie Retail Lebanon), a leading operator and owner of supermarkets and hypermarkets in Lebanon. Bassem is a graduate of Regent’s University London, United Kingdom.
Celine Abdallah
FP&A Manager
Celine is a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Bridge Capital. She is responsible for financial reporting, performance, and analysis for several types of asset classes including real estate and private equity. Prior to joining BCH, Celine spent 4+ years working at Ernst & Young as a senior financial auditor. She oversaw the audit & IFRS compliance for clients from different industries such as banks, investments & financial services, oil & gas companies. Celine holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) and a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
Salem Abi Chahla, CPA
Financial Controller
Salem Abi Chahla Joined Bridge Capital Holding as a Financial Controller. Salem oversees budget management analysis and plays a lead role in the preparation of audited financial statements, VAT and tax returns. Prior to joining BCH Salem had acquired 17+ years of experience in the field, with responsibilities spanning audit, tax, financial reporting, and business management. Salem is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting
Raafat Haidar, CFA, FRM
Portfolio Analyst
Raafat joined Bridge Capital Holding as Portfolio Analyst. He is responsible for preparing or strategically identifying and quantifying the risks for the company's investment initiatives. Prior to joining BCH, Raafat held the position of Financial Analyst at Food & Drug Corporation, prior to that he also worked at Credit Financier SAL, where he was Acting Risk Manager and Credit Manager. Raafat is a CFA charterholder and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He earned his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and minor in Political Science from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and holds a certificate of advanced financial modeler (CAFM®).
Samer Soufi
Accountant
Samer joined Bridge Capital Holding as an Accountant. He is responsible of financial accounting activities relating to the various investments of the holding. Prior to joining BCH, Samer worked at Infratech, a leading company in Sustainable Energy. He worked for both private and governmental clients towards achieving the establishment of wind farms in Lebanon. Samer graduated from University of Balamand where he earned bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Auditing and Diploma in Management. Samer is a member in Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and preparing to be Certified in Management Accountant (CMA).
